THE BACK HORN

1998年結成。“KYO-MEI”という言葉をテーマに、聞く人の心をふるわせる音楽を届けていくというバンドの意思を掲げている。
2001年シングル『サニー』をメジャーリリース。FUJI ROCK FESTIVALやROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL等でのメインステージ出演をはじめ、近年のロックフェスティバルでは欠かせないライブバンドとしての地位を確立。
そしてスペインや台湾ロックフェスティバルへの参加を皮切りに10数カ国で作品をリリースし海外にも進出。黒沢清監督映画『アカルイミライ』（2003年）主題歌「未来」をはじめ、紀里谷和明監督映画『CASSHERN』（2004年）挿入歌「レクイエム」、乙一原作『ZOO』（2005年）主題歌「奇跡」、アニメ『機動戦士ガンダム00』（2007年）主題歌「罠」、水島精二監督映画『機動戦士ガンダム00 -A wakening of the trailblazer-』（2010年）主題歌「閉ざされた世界」、熊切和嘉監督とタッグを組み制作した映画『光の音色 –THE BACK HORN Film-』、作家・住野よるとコラボレーションした小説×音楽の話題作「この気持ちもいつか忘れる」など、そのオリジナリティ溢れる楽曲の世界観から映像作品やクリエイターとのコラボレーションも多数。
2023年に結成25周年を迎える今も、日本屈指のライブバンドとしてその勢いを止めることなく精力的に活動中！

Formed in 1998. Based on the theme of the word "KYO-MEI (resonance)," the band's intention is to deliver music that touches the hearts of those who listen to it.
In recent years, they have established themselves as an indispensable live band at rock festivals, including main stage appearances at Japan's leading festivals, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, etc.
They also expanded overseas by participating in rock festivals in Spain and Taiwan. Anime "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" (2007) theme song "wana (trap)", movie "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -A wakening of the trailblazer-" (2010) theme song "tozasareta sekai (closed world)" Due to the worldview of his songs, which are full of originality, he has also collaborated with many other video works and creators.
Even now, as they celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2023, they are still actively working without stopping their momentum!
