Save Ferris, formed in 1995, is a seminal band from the third wave of ska, blending elements of punk, rock, and ska from Orange County's thriving music scene. Led by Monique Powell's dynamic vocals, the band gained recognition when their cover of Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come on Eileen" was played on KROQ by DJ Rodney Bingenheimer. Despite starting independently, the band signed with Epic Records in 1997, releasing their debut album, It Means Everything, and touring globally for six years. After a hiatus, Save Ferris reformed in 2013, with Powell leading a new lineup, delivering electrifying performances and new music set for release in 2024.
Monique Powell remains the driving force behind Save Ferris, captivating audiences with her on-stage charisma and the band's infectious energy. Following a successful 2023 tour, Save Ferris is gearing up to showcase their continued vitality and prove that their best days are yet to come.
