Biography

Kim Nam-joon, also known as RM, is a South Korean rapper and leader of the K-pop group BTS. He launched a successful solo career in 2015 with his debut mixtape RM, followed by the international hit Mono in 2018. In 2022, he released his official full-length debut album, Indigo, collaborating with artists such as Warren G, Lil Nas X, Honne, and Fall Out Boy.

Born in Dongjak District, South Korea, Kim developed a passion for hip-hop at a young age and honed his English skills through watching the TV show Friends. He joined BTS in 2010 as the first member and quickly rose to fame with the group, breaking chart records in the U.S. and selling out world tours. Alongside his work with BTS, Kim continued to release solo material, including his mixtape RM and the album Mono. In 2022, he released his debut solo album, Indigo, featuring collaborations with Erykah Badu and Anderson .Paak.
