Lil Lotus, known as John Elias Villagran III, draws on a lifetime of feeling drained by external pressures and internal struggles in his upcoming album "Nosebleeder," set for release on December 1st under Epitaph Records. The album, produced by Matt Malpass and Mike Pepe, delves into themes of friendship, addiction, mental health, and toxic relationships. Starting his musical journey by exploring rock music after stealing an iPod at a young age, Lotus found inspiration in bands like Mars Volta and Linkin Park, eventually leading him to create his own music. Transitioning from playing in bands like Boyfriendz and If I Die First, Lotus began his solo career as Lil Lotus, releasing singles and EPs before his debut album "Errør Bøy" in 2021 featuring collaborations with Travis Barker and lil aaron. "Nosebleeder" signals a new chapter in Lil Lotus' artistic evolution.
