Yang Kun, born in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China on December 18, 1972, is a singer-songwriter known for his work in the Chinese music industry. He released his debut album, "Indifferent," in 2001, which garnered critical acclaim and earned him awards from the Southeastern Music Chart Awards and the Asian Billboard Awards. Throughout his career, Yang Kun has released several successful albums, including "That Day" (2003), "2008" (2005), and "Lonely" (2017). In addition to his music career, he has appeared as a coach or judge on popular televised talent competitions such as The Voice of China and Sing My Song. Yang Kun has also ventured into acting and television hosting, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry.

In 2012, Yang Kun joined the first season of The Voice of China as a coach, later returning for season three. His self-titled album in 2009 featured the popular track "Empty City," which gained significant traction on social media platforms.
