Xscape is an American all-female R&B quartet that debuted at producer Jermaine Dupri's birthday party in 1991. Formed around sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, along with Kandi Burruss and Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, the group released their platinum debut album, Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha, in 1993. Xscape's second album, Off the Hook, also achieved platinum status, followed by their third album, Traces of My Lipstick, in 1998.
After disbanding, the members pursued solo careers. Burruss became a successful songwriter for various artists, including Mariah Carey and Destiny's Child. Tiny ventured into songwriting and reality television, while LaTocha pursued a solo music career and Tamika focused on acting. In 2018, Tiny and the Scott sisters reunited as a trio under the name Xscap3, releasing the EP Here for It on XSCAP3 Entertainment.
