Formed in 2000, UVERworld is a Japanese rock band hailing from Shiga Prefecture. The band's name, derived from a modified German word meaning "beyond our world," reflects their unique sound and powerful lyrics crafted by lead vocalist TAKUYA∞. Since their debut in 2005, UVERworld has released 31 singles and 9 albums, consistently charting in the top ranks of the Oricon charts. Known for their energetic live performances, they have garnered a dedicated following among young audiences.
Comprising six members, including TAKUYA∞, Katsuya, Akira, Nobuto, Shintaro, and Seika, UVERworld has achieved notable success in the Japanese music scene. Their music has been featured in popular anime series, contributing to their global recognition and sales of over 3 million records worldwide. In 2023, the band performed two sold-out shows at Nissan Stadium in Japan, and they are set to expand their reach with their first Asian show in Korea in July 2024.
