A singer-songwriter who first gained fame through his viral videos, Tyler Ward became one of the most successful musical social media artists of the 2010s. ∙ Creating Tyler Ward Studios in 2009, he started his music career as a producer, eventually recording with such artists as Jason Derulo and Lindsey Stirling. ∙ In 2010, his video cover of “We Are the World” went viral, racking up 1.5 million views during the same week that the song was rereleased as “We Are the World 25 for Haiti.” ∙ He earned a spot as the only unsigned artist in the Top 15 of Billboard’s Social 50, remaining on the chart for 38 weeks during 2011. ∙ Debuting on iTunes in 2012, his original EP Hello. Love. Heartbreak. simultaneously topped six Billboard charts. ∙ Ward made his solo TV debut on TODAY in 2015, where he was recognized as radio legend Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month. ∙ The music video for his duet of Toto’s “Africa,” featuring Lisa Cimorelli, went viral in 2019, while the song became a highlight of his LP He Said.
