Eladio Antonio "Tony" Vega Ayala, born on July 13, 1957, is a Puerto Rican salsa singer. Vega began his musical journey at a young age, playing the conga for various bands in his hometown of Salinas, USA, before moving to New York City in 1968. In New York, Vega continued his education while exploring his passion for Afro-Caribbean music, particularly salsa, which was thriving in the city during the 1970s. He drew inspiration from artists like Ismael Rivera and eventually established himself as a respected figure in the salsa scene.

Aside from his music career, Vega is also a pastor at an Evangelical church in the United States. His early experiences in the vibrant music scene of New York City laid the foundation for his successful journey as a salsa artist, showcasing his talent and dedication to the genre over the years.
