Tamaryn, the musical project of New Zealand native Tamaryn Brown, skillfully blends lush sonics and transporting vocals to reinvent dream pop for the 21st century. From her early albums like The Waves in 2010 to the more innovative Cranekiss in 2015 and the raw emotions of Dreaming the Dark in 2019, Tamaryn consistently captures moods in impressionistic yet unmistakable ways while staying true to the genre's essence.

Born in New Zealand and raised in a halfway home for teenage runaways, Tamaryn Brown found solace in music during her nomadic teenage years across the United States. Teaming up with guitarist/producer Rex John Shelverton in the early 2000s, Tamaryn's dreamy soundscapes and cooing vocals quickly gained recognition, leading to the release of her debut EP in 2008. After collaborating with various artists and exploring new musical directions, Tamaryn continued to evolve her sound, incorporating synth pop and industrial elements to create emotionally charged, genre-defying music that resonates with listeners.
