Biography

Formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1976 as The Square, T-Square is a renowned jazz fusion group known for their hit song "Truth" (1987) used in Fuji Television's Formula One coverage. Led by guitarist Masahiro Andoh, the band released over 60 albums, collaborating with Japanese jazz legends and forming various offshoot bands. Evolving their sound by blending jazz fusion with funk, rock, and smooth jazz, T-Square reached commercial success with albums like Truth (1987) and continued to innovate through the years.

After decades of recording with major labels, T-Square established their own label, Orange Lady, and released a series of albums including City Coaster (2018) and Fly! Fly! Fly! (2021). In 2021, founder Masahiro Andoh retired from the band, passing on management to Takeshi Itoh, marking a new chapter in T-Square's storied career.
