Biography
T.M. Revolution, born Takanori Nishikawa, rose to fame under the guidance of producer Daisuke Asakura, drawing influences from Japanese synth rock megastars TMN. His involvement with hit anime series like Rurouni Kenshin and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED propelled him to international success, leading to his expansion into the American market in the early 2000s. With a career spanning from the mid-90s, T.M. Revolution's music style evolved, garnering chart-topping hits and a dedicated fan base, including the acclaimed metalcore side project Abington Boys School.
Born in Yasu, Japan, in 1970, Nishikawa's journey to success as T.M. Revolution started with his debut solo album "Black or White" in 1995 under his real name. Renamed in 1996, T.M. Revolution's breakthrough came with the single "Heart of Sword Yoake Mae" featured in Rurouni Kenshin, paving the way for chart-topping singles and albums. His collaboration with producer Asakura and contributions to the Gundam franchise further solidified his position in the music industry. Despite a brief musical shift in the late '90s, T.M. Revolution returned to his solo career, continuing to release successful albums and singles, including the 2008 hit "Resonance" for the anime series Soul Eater.
