Strong Arm Steady

Los Angeles-based group Strong Arm Steady made their mark in 2004 with a unique DVD release showcasing their performances and recording sessions. Originally set to debut on Xzibit's Columbia imprint, Arms & Hammers, their first album, eventually found a home with Talib Kweli's Blacksmith Music. Transitioning to Stones Throw Records, the group collaborated with producer Madlib for the acclaimed In Search of Stoney Jackson. Their subsequent releases, including Arms & Hammers and Stereotype, showcased their versatility with various producers and guest features from artists like Too Short and the Game. Stereotype, released in 2012, saw East Coast producer Statik Selektah at the helm, following in the footsteps of their previous success with Madlib.
