STRFKR, initially a solo project by Joshua Hodges, expanded into a full band with Keil Corcoran, Shawn Glassford, and Arian Jalali. Their music, aimed at creating danceable yet thought-provoking songs, led to a deal with Polyvinyl in 2010, propelling the band's commercial and creative growth. With successful albums like 2011’s Reptilians, 2013’s Miracle Mile, and 2016’s Being No One, Going Nowhere, STRFKR made a mark on Billboard charts and gained recognition through placements in film and television. Eschewing traditional hype channels, the band focused on dynamic live performances and musical exploration, evident in their Vault Series and latest album, Parallel Realms, which combines pop sensibilities with experimental touches from their acclaimed 2020 release, Future Past Life.
