Biography

Originating from St. Louis, MO, the St. Lunatics formed in 1993 with members Ali, Nelly, City Spud, Kyjuan, and Murphy Lee. Their debut single, "Gimme What You Got," became a regional hit in 1996, selling 8,000 copies and receiving heavy rotation on St. Louis FM station 103 the Beat. In 1998, the group connected with Cudda Love, owner of Fo' Reel Entertainment and Mase's former manager, who secured them a deal with Universal Records and individual solo contracts. Their debut album, Free City, was released in June 2001.
