Biography

Soyou, born Kang Ji-hyun on February 12, 1992, in South Korea, is a renowned singer who initially trained with Cube Entertainment before joining Starship Entertainment and debuting with K-pop group Sistar in June 2010. Known for hits like "So Cool," Soyou also found success with solo projects, including the award-winning duet "Some" with Junggigo in 2014. Following Sistar's disbandment in 2017, Soyou launched a successful solo career with EPs like Re:Born and Re:Fresh, as well as hit singles like "Gotta Go" and "Good Night My Love." Signing with BPM Entertainment in 2021, Soyou released her third EP, Day & Night, in April 2022, and held her first solo concert, THE LIVE: NIGHT. She continued her musical journey with the fourth EP, Summer Recipe, in 2023, which peaked at number 93 on the South Korean charts.
