Indian playback singer Sonu Kakkar, born on October 20, 1979 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, began her musical journey at a young age singing jagrans. After moving to Delhi in 1990, she later found success in Mumbai, catching the attention of Bollywood music director Sandeep Chowta through Channel V’s reality music competition Indian Pop Star. Kakkar's Bollywood debut came with the song “Babuji Zaara Dheere Chalo” in the 2003 film Dum, leading to a successful career with notable tracks like “London Thumukda” from Queen and singles such as “Urban Munda” and “Sun Baliye.” Throughout the 2010s, Kakkar continued to make significant contributions to Bollywood soundtracks alongside releasing her own music.
