Hailing from Dallas, the three-piece alternative rock band Secret Machines consists of Brandon Curtis on vocals, bass, and keyboards, Benjamin Curtis on guitar and backing vocals, and Josh Garza on drums. Their sound is a blend of progressive rock and Krautrock, showcased in their debut album "Now Here is Nowhere," released in 2004 to critical acclaim. Despite not achieving commercial success, their follow-up album "Ten Silver Drops" received positive reviews and led to an interview with David Bowie on radio, who was a fan of the band. Benjamin Curtis departed from the band in 2007, but Brandon and Josh have recently reunited to work on a new album after a period of inactivity since 2010. Secret Machines have toured with notable acts like Foo Fighters, Oasis, and Interpol, appealing to fans of Pink Floyd, U2, and other space rock influences.
