Biography

Detroit techno artist Scott Grooves, known for his soulful sound, initially played keyboards for Inner City before pursuing his own production career. Influenced by his jazz-musician father, Grooves began playing multiple instruments, but ultimately found his passion for techno while working in Detroit's music scene. His debut single "A New Day" was released in 1997, followed by a full-length album, Pieces of a Dream, in 1998 on Soma Records. Grooves' transition from jazz to techno marked a significant shift in his musical journey.
