Biography

Sarah Connor is a German singer and songwriter known for her soulful pop music. Born Sarah Marianne Corina Lewe in Hamburg, she was influenced by her grandfather, a jazz and R&B pianist. After singing in a church chorus and participating in musicals, she gained attention for her vocals on producer Marc van Linden's remix of The Last Unicorn theme in 1999. She signed with Sony imprint X-Cell Records in 2000 and released her debut album, Green Eyed Soul, in 2001, which included the hit single "Let's Get Back to Bed...Boys."

Connor's music has consistently performed well in Germany, with several chart-topping albums, including Naughty but Nice (2005), Soulicious (2007), and Muttersprache (2015). She also gained international recognition with her self-titled album in the U.S. in 2004, featuring the hit single "Bounce." Connor has continued to release successful albums and singles, with her most recent album, Herz Kraft Werke, reaching number one in 2019.
