Samkelo “Samthing Soweto” Mdolomba, a South African musician hailing from the township of Soweto, has made a mark in the music industry with his unique blend of RnB and Jazz vocals. Formerly a member of The Soil, he gained recognition for his songwriting skills, contributing to the success of the band's award-winning debut album.

After parting ways with The Soil, Samthing Soweto released an EP titled This n That Without Tempo, highlighting his songwriting prowess and love for acapella music. His solo career has garnered him multiple awards, including three SAMAs and a Wawela Award. Collaborations with artists like Mobi Dixon, Black Coffee, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza de Small have further solidified his position as a prominent figure in the South African music scene, with hits like “Akanamali” and “Amantombazane” dominating the charts.
