Ryan McCartan

After his stint with The Girl and The Dreamcatcher, Minnesota-born actor and singer-songwriter Ryan McCartan transitioned to a successful solo career. As a former Disney Channel star, McCartan gained recognition for his role as Diggie Smalls in Liv and Maddie before pursuing music with then-girlfriend Dove Cameron in 2015. Following their breakup in 2016, McCartan ventured into solo music, releasing singles like “When You Went Away” in 2017 and his debut EP, The Opposite, in 2018. He further showcased his talent by making his Broadway debut in Wicked the same year, and in 2021, released the poignant single “Politician” addressing personal struggles and societal issues.
