Biography

After leaving La Fuga, Raul Gutierrez formed Rulo y la Contrabanda in 2010 with a lineup of established musicians. Their debut album Señales de Humo topped the charts, followed by Ras de Cielo en Directo Desde Santander in 2011 and Especies en Extinción in 2012, which reached number two on the Spanish charts. The band continued their success with the release of Una Noche en el Castillo in 2014 and El Doble de Tu Mitad in 2016, which became their first number one album in Spain since their debut.

Throughout the years, Rulo y la Contrabanda have maintained their popularity and critical acclaim, releasing a documentary and book titled Adentro, un Inventario de Emociones in 2013.
