Roger Sanchez

Roger Sanchez, a key producer for the influential American house label Strictly Rhythm in the early '90s, evolved into a renowned remixer and top global-house artist by the end of the decade. Born in New York to Dominican parents, Sanchez immersed himself in the city's music scene, eventually leaving college to pursue a full-time music career. His early single "Luv Dancin" as Underground Solution helped shape the evolving New York house sound, leading to successful remix work for artists like Babyface, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross.

Sanchez's later productions solidified his status as a leading producer, with releases under various aliases on labels like Strictly Rhythm and Narcotic Records. He expanded his presence in the industry by launching his own label, Stealth, and earning a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording in 2003. Sanchez's long-running radio show, Release Yourself, garnered acclaim and he continued to release new music and mix albums into the 2010s, collaborating with artists like Far East Movement and maintaining his position as a prominent figure in the global dance music scene.
