Hans-Joachim Roedelius, a pioneering figure in electronic music, has maintained an innovative and prolific career spanning from his early days with Krautrock band Cluster to his later ambient solo works. Alongside Dieter Moebius, Roedelius explored various musical directions, from harsh soundscapes to melodic synth pop, influencing generations of experimental musicians. Collaborating with artists like Michael Rother and Brian Eno, Roedelius continued to evolve his sound, releasing numerous albums and archival projects, including the extensive 90 in celebration of his 90th birthday.

Born in Berlin in 1934, Roedelius embarked on a musical journey after co-founding the Zodiak Free Arts Lab with Conrad Schnitzler, eventually forming Kluster and later Cluster. Teaming up with renowned producers and musicians, Roedelius delved into ambient textures and electronic rock, while also pursuing solo projects and collaborations with a diverse range of artists.
