Reptar, the Athens, Georgia dance-rock quartet formed in 2008, brings a blend of electronic rock that nods to the funk of Prince and dance-pop influences like Passion Pit. After gaining attention with buzzworthy performances, the band released their debut EP, Oblangle Fizz Y'all, in 2011, followed by their full-length debut, Body Faucet, produced by Ben Allen, in 2012. The band continued to tour and record, with side projects from members Graham Ulicny and William Kennedy, before signing with Joyful Noise Recordings in early 2015. Their sophomore album, Lurid Glow, co-produced by Andy LeMaster, was released that spring.
