Formed in the early 2000s, this Scottish pipe and drum ensemble, including Stuart Cassells, Willie Armstrong, Kevin MacDonald, Steven Graham, and Malcolm McEwan, showcased their modern take on traditional piping tunes with electrifying live performances. Their talent was evident, with members like Cassells, Graham, and McEwan having studied at the renowned Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. The group's energetic stage presence garnered them opportunities like performing at the 2004 T In The Park festival alongside the rock band the Darkness and releasing a 10-track album featuring classic piping tunes.

In 2007, the group surprised audiences by winning the BBC talent show When Will I Be Famous with a medley of Queen's 'We Will Rock You' and Survivor's 'Eye Of The Tiger' mixed with traditional music. This victory, coupled with a growing fan base, led to the release of their second studio album later that year. Meanwhile, Stuart Cassells pursued a solo career in addition to his work with the group.
