Ray J, the younger brother of R&B star Brandy, transitioned from television success to a music career at just 14 years old. His debut album, Everything You Want, released in 1997, showcased his smooth vocals and youthful approach to R&B. Over the years, Ray J's music evolved alongside his personal growth, drawing comparisons to Usher. His fourth album, All I Feel, reached chart success in 2008, topping both the Billboard Independent and R&B charts. After a decade-long hiatus, he returned with the album Raydemption in 2019.

Born William Ray Norwood, Jr., in Mississippi, Ray J's move to California at a young age immersed him in the entertainment industry. Starting with acting roles in movies and television, he later pursued his passion for music, signing with Elektra in 1995. Despite some setbacks, Ray J continued to work on his music, collaborating with notable producers like The Neptunes and Timbaland. Alongside his reality television appearances, Ray J released singles and albums, culminating in his 2019 comeback effort with Raydemption.
