Biography

Pianist Raúl Di Blasio, born in Zapala, Argentina in 1949, began his musical journey at age six, initially studying Latin music forms like tango and bossa nova. Influenced by classical European composers and later by the Beatles, he formed his own rock band, Los Diabólicos, in his teens. Following a successful residency in Viña del Mar, Chile, he focused on a serious music career, releasing his debut LP in 1983 and gaining recognition as "El Pianista de Todos." Di Blasio's subsequent albums on CBS-Chile and BMG, such as El Piano de América and Solo, further solidified his status as a renowned pianist, with his music reaching global audiences.

After relocating to Miami in 1987, Raúl Di Blasio's musical journey continued with successful releases like Christmas and Di Blasio and Salt Peanuts in the early 2000s. His albums, including the million-selling 1994 sequel to his debut, showcased his versatile style blending Latin influences with classical and pop elements. With a strong presence in the Far East and a string of well-received albums, Di Blasio's music resonated with audiences worldwide, earning him the title "The People's Pianist" in the media.
