Biography
Poolside, formed in 2011 by Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise in Los Angeles, gained popularity with their subaquatic indie dance music created in a pool house studio. Their debut album, Pacific Standard Time, released in 2012, showcased their "daytime disco" sound. Following a brief hiatus, they returned with their second album, Heat, in 2017, incorporating more uptempo dance songs and a variety of instruments into their signature sunny disco style.
The duo stayed active post-debut, remixing for artists like Matthew Dear and Fool's Gold, touring with a live band, and performing DJ sets globally. With a focus on growth and evolution, Poolside's second album expanded their sound while maintaining their laid-back disco vibe, culminating in the surprise release of Heat on their own Day & Night label.
