Biography
Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall, consisting of singer Marko, guitarist Olli, and keyboardist Captain, began their musical journey in 2003 from humble beginnings. Marko's dedication to music led him to sell his possessions and move into his parents' basement with Olli and Captain, where they set up a makeshift studio in Captain's living room. The band's unique blend of pop, rock, metal, and industrial sounds caught the attention of guitarist Jaska, bassist Jani, and drummer Jari, leading to the release of their first single, "Late Goodbye," for the game Max Payne 2.
Poets of the Fall quickly gained international recognition with their debut album "Signs of Life" (2005) and subsequent releases "Carnival of Rust" (2006), "Revolution Roulette" (2008), and "Twilight Theatre" (2010) all reaching #1 on the charts in Finland. The band continued their success with four more studio albums, a compilation album, and a live DVD, solidifying their place in Finnish music history while captivating audiences with their dynamic sound and passionate performances.
