Biography

Plies, a rapper hailing from Ft. Myers, Florida, signed with Slip-N-Slide in 2004 and released his debut album, The Real Testament, in August 2007. Following this, he released two more albums in 2008 and continued to drop mixtapes over the years. Plies achieved success with singles like "Shawty," "Medicine" featuring Keri Hilson, and "Ran Off on da Plug Twice," as well as collaborations with artists such as Trina and Young Dolph. Despite announcing his fifth album, Purple Heart, in 2011, it remained unreleased as of 2017. Plies maintained his presence in the music scene with mixtape releases like Ain't No Mixtape BIH and Ain't No Mixtape BIH 2 in 2015, followed by Ain't No Mixtape BIH 3 in 2017.

In March 2010, Plies' album Goon Affiliated, released by Atlantic, reached number one on Billboard's rap chart and peaked at number five on the Top 200 chart. He continued to tease the release of his anticipated fifth album while consistently delivering mixtapes like You Need People Like Me, Pts. 1-2, I Fuck with the DJ, Aristotle, and Da Last Real Nigga Left, Pts. 1-2.
