Biography

Formed in 1993 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Pesado, originally Grupo Pesado, was founded by Beto Zapata and Pepe Elizondo. The group gained recognition with hits like "Eso Me Gusta" and achieved gold and platinum status with albums such as A Tu Encuentro and Piensame un Momento. In 2006, Pesado received a Grammy nomination for Best Norteño Album for Piensame un Momento.

Pesado continued to release successful albums, including Gracias por Tu Amor, Corridos: Defendiendo el Honor, and Mi Promesa. In 2013, the band celebrated its 20th anniversary with a series of singles and retrospective concert albums. Pesado's musical journey continued with the release of Abrázame in 2015 and a tribute album, Tributo a los Alegres de Terán, in 2016. The band's latest album, Los Angeles Existen, was released in April 2018 under the label Remex Music, featuring songs penned by Zapata, Elizondo, Medina, and Felipe.
