Hailing from Kyoto, Japan, punk-rock-garage quartet Otoboke Beaver burst onto the music scene in 2009 with their high-energy, Japanese-language tracks. Comprised of Accorinrin, Yoyoyoshie, Hiro-chan, and Pop, the band's frenzied sound fuses elements of garage, punk, and pop, delivered with break-neck speed and raw intensity. Their 2017 breakout year included accolades from Pitchfork, NPR, and The Fader, as well as successful performances at SXSW and Fuji Rock, propelling them into the spotlight.

In 2018, Otoboke Beaver embarked on a whirlwind tour, covering over 24,000 miles in a week to play at Coachella and headline shows in the UK. Collaborating with labelmates Say Sue Me and Leggy, the band continued to captivate audiences with their dynamic performances.
