Omnium Gatherum

Hailing from Finland, Omnium Gatherum emerged in the late '90s and solidified their place in the European metal scene with a string of respected albums in the mid-2000s on labels like Nuclear Blast and Rage of Achilles. Their career took a more progressive turn with producer Dan Swanö on 2008's The Redshift, leading to a breakout phase culminating in 2011's acclaimed New World Shadows. The band continued to evolve, collaborating with Swanö and releasing albums like Grey Heavens (2016) and The Burning Cold (2018) under Century Media Group.

Formed in 1996 in Karhula, Omnium Gatherum has seen numerous lineup changes, with guitarist Markus Vanhala as the sole constant member. Their journey included shifts in vocalists, guitarists, bassists, and drummers before achieving critical and commercial success with New World Shadows. The band's sound matured with subsequent releases, such as Beyond (2013) and Grey Heavens (2016), showcasing their melodic death metal prowess. With Swanö's continued involvement and drummer Tuomo Latvala joining the fold, Omnium Gatherum's eighth album, The Burning Cold, further solidified their position as a prominent force in the metal world.
