OG Ron C, a significant figure in rap music, has made his mark as a DJ, label operator, and manager, in addition to his immense discography. Co-founding the Swishahouse label in the late '90s with Michael "5000" Watts, he released tapes of slow, hallucinatory remixes, supporting the careers of artists like Mike Jones and Chamillionaire. Beyond Swishahouse, Coleman founded outlets such as Wrecking Yard and continued to release numerous tapes, remixing material for artists ranging from the Geto Boys to Riff Raff. Alongside DJ Candlestick, he expanded his stylistic range with "chop not slop" remixes of albums by Little Dragon and Thundercat.

Starting his career by DJ'ing high school parties and working at radio stations, OG Ron C has become a pivotal figure in the rap scene, following in the footsteps of DJ Screw.
