Biography

NiziU is a nine-member girl group formed through an audition by Sony Music Japan and JYP Entertainment in 2019. They debuted with Sony Music/JYP and released their pre-debut mini album "Make you happy," which achieved significant success on charts worldwide, surpassing 100 million streams within Japan in 15 weeks. NiziU is recognized as a sister group to TWICE. Their debut single "Step and a step," produced by J.Y. Park, reached #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 in December 2020.

The group continued their success with releases such as "Paradise" produced by 3RACHA of Stray Kids in 2023 and their Korean debut with "HEARTRIS" the same year. They also released theme songs for various projects, including the themesong for "Love-sick Ellie" and the opening and ending songs for the anime "Tower of God." In 2025, NiziU released their first mini album "AWAKE," which includes a ballad written by Mrs. GREEN APPLE's Motoki Ohmori and the track "AlwayS" with over 8.5 million views on THE FIRST TAKE.
