Nelson, founded by twin brothers Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, achieved commercial success in 1990 with their debut album After the Rain, featuring the hit "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection." Despite label challenges and shifting music trends, Nelson has continued releasing acclaimed albums like Lightning Strikes Twice (2010), Peace Out (2015), and A Nelson Family Christmas (2022).
Originally part of the heavy metal band Strange Agents in the '80s, Nelson emerged as a duo in the '90s. After their debut success, label disputes led to a hiatus before the release of Because They Can. The brothers later founded Stone Canyon Records, releasing Imaginator and The Silence Is Broken. Nelson explored country and pop/rock influences with albums like Brother Harmony and Life, showcasing their versatility and dedication to their musical legacy.
