Biography

Born in 1991, Mr.Rain, also known as Mattia Balardi, is an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer. Influenced by Eminem and the national and international hip hop scene, he finds inspiration in rainy weather. In 2011, he released his debut mixtape 'Time 2 Eat' after writing his initial pieces in 2009. His first official album, 'Memories', was self-produced and released in 2015, featuring hits like 'Carillon' and 'Tutto Quello che Ho', both achieving Platinum status.

Continuing his success, Mr.Rain released singles like 'I grandi non piangono mai' and 'Ipernova', both reaching Platinum status in 2017. His album "Petrichor" in 2021, including tracks like "Fiori di Chernobyl" and "9.3", received Platinum certifications. In 2022, he released his third album "Fragile", followed by a notable third-place finish at the 2023 Sanremo Festival with the hit "Supereroi", which quickly achieved six times Platinum status. In May 2023, he collaborated with Sangiovanni on the single 'La Fine del Mondo'.
