Morten Harket

Morten Harket, known for his role as the vocalist of a-ha, initially faced criticism for his appearance but soon gained recognition for his distinct high-pitched falsetto vocals. Born in Kongsberg, Norway, Harket's musical journey began when he joined a rock group and formed a-ha in 1983 with Magne Furuholmen and Paal Waaktaar. Despite early comparisons to other pop icons, a-ha's debut album showcased Harket's emotive singing style, leading to critical acclaim with their second album, Scoundrel Days. Apart from his work with the band, Harket has also released three solo albums, displaying his vocal prowess that has been likened to artists like Neil Young and R.E.M.
