Biography

Moreno Veloso, son of Brazilian music legend Caetano Veloso, began singing at age three and learned to play classical guitar at nine. He made his songwriting debut in 1982 and later toured as a Latin percussionist with his father and Gilberto Gil. Veloso's interest in music persisted even as he pursued physics studies in the '90s, eventually establishing his own recording studio.

Veloso collaborated with Alexandre Kassin and Domenico Lancellotti on the experimental album Music Typewriter, which gained popularity in Brazil. He also worked on three records with his father, including the award-winning Abraçaço in 2012. Veloso's second solo album, Coisa Boa, released in 2014, featured a diverse lineup of musicians from around the world.
