Formed in 2009 in Hamilton, Ontario, Monster Truck blends '70s arena rock with grunge influences, featuring members from local bands The Reason and Saint Alvia. After releasing EPs and gaining radio success in Canada, the band signed with Dine Alone Records and Universal, leading to their debut album, Furiosity, in 2013. The album peaked at number 13 on the Canadian charts, and the band won a Juno Award for Breakthrough Group that year. Following extensive touring and festival appearances, they released their second album, Sittin' Heavy, in early 2016.
