Biography

Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1970, Mike Zito began his music career by singing at local events before picking up the guitar as a teenager. By 2008, he was releasing records on his self-titled label and touring the U.S., eventually signing with Eclecto Groove Records and earning accolades for his work. In 2011, Zito formed Royal Southern Brotherhood, releasing their debut album the following year.

Zito continued to make waves in the blues music scene with his albums featuring his backing band the Wheel, earning nominations and critical acclaim. His 2016 release, "Make Blues Not War," produced by Tom Hambridge, and subsequent albums like "First Class Life" in 2018, showcased his talent and topped the charts. In 2019, Zito released two more albums, including a tribute to Chuck Berry featuring collaborations with notable artists like Sonny Landreth and Joe Bonamassa.
