Jack Dangers, born John Corrigan in 1967, formed Meat Beat Manifesto with Jonny Stephens in 1987, initially as a side project. Their early singles "I Got the Fear" and "Strap Down" showcased their dense, danceable sound, which evolved into their debut album, Storm the Studio. Moving away from their industrial label, they ventured into techno territory with albums like 1992's Satyricon, influencing genres like trip-hop and drum'n'bass.
