Brooklyn-based duo Matt and Kim, known for their energetic dance punk sound, rose to mainstream fame in 2007 with their viral hit "Daylight." The duo, comprised of Matt on keys and vocals and Kim on drums, formed in 2002 while attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and quickly gained a following with their punk-pop, hip-hop, and radio pop-influenced music.
