Massive Attack, formed in 1987 by Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles, Grant "Daddy G" Marshall, and Robert del Naja, emerged from the Wild Bunch collective, known for their diverse musical styles. Their debut album, "Blue Lines," released in 1991, received critical acclaim. The group's second album, "Protection," followed in 1994, featuring collaborations with various artists.
In 1998, Massive Attack released "Mezzanine," which achieved commercial success and critical acclaim. The departure of Vowles led to Del Naja and Marshall continuing as a duo, collaborating with artists like David Bowie. Over the years, Massive Attack released several albums and EPs, exploring different musical styles and working on film scores under various pseudonyms. Their most recent work includes the 2016 EP "Ritual Spirit," showcasing collaborations with artists like Tricky and Roots Manuva.
