Biography

Mark Chesnutt, a neo-honky tonker from Beaumont, Texas, rose to fame in the '90s with his classic country sound. Growing up listening to his father's country records, Chesnutt debuted professionally at 15 and eventually landed a record deal with MCA after releasing singles on local labels. His debut album, Too Cold at Home, produced hits like "Brother Jukebox" and "Blame It on Texas," setting the stage for a string of chart-topping singles in the following years.

Chesnutt continued his success with albums like Longnecks & Short Stories and Almost Goodbye, garnering hits such as "Bubba Shot the Jukebox" and "It Sure Is Monday." Despite a brief commercial dip with Wings in 1995, Chesnutt's Greatest Hits album in 1996 revitalized his career with the number one track "It's a Little Too Late." Though subsequent albums didn't match his earlier success, Chesnutt remained a respected figure in country music with releases like Tradition Lives in 2016, showcasing his enduring appeal and dedication to the genre.
