Mark Battles, a rapper and producer hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, emerged on the scene in the mid-2000s, drawing inspiration from iconic figures like LL Cool J, 2Pac, Eminem, and DMX. He quickly established his own distinct style, releasing his debut mixtape, Good Morning America, in 2011. Over the years, Battles expanded his discography with a series of mixtapes under his Fly America label, including notable projects like Saturday School, Broken Silence (with King Los), and Black Einstein. His 2015 release, Numb, marked a significant milestone for Battles, reaching number 39 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
