At only 21 years old, Brazilian singer-songwriter Mariana Froes is considered one of the standout talents of the new generation of MPB. With a deep and smooth voice described by Rolling Stone Brasil as having a "lovingly scratchy quality," Mariana's compositions blend elements of MPB, bossa nova, samba, and jazz with sensitivity and charm. She began her musical journey by sharing covers of her favorite songs on YouTube, amassing over 100 million views. In 2019, she released her debut singles "Moça" and "Rosa e Laranja" to warm reception both in Brazil and internationally, followed by her first EP "Nebulosa" in 2020.
