Biography
Formed in 2016 in Japan, Lovebites is an all-female power metal band influenced by western metal legends. Their debut EP, mixed by Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila, was followed by their first full-length album, Awakening From Abyss, in 2017. Lovebites gained accolades including the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for "Best New Band" in 2018 and performed at prestigious festivals like Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock Open Air.
In 2019, Lovebites toured internationally, opening for Arch Enemy in China and performing at Download Festival in the UK, among others. They toured with DragonForce in the UK and opened for Halestorm in Tokyo. The band kicked off 2020 with their third album, Electric Pentagram, which entered Japan's Top 10 sales chart, showcasing their powerful metal sound and skilled musicianship.
